One position is available for a highly motivated and independent postdoctoral fellow to investigate the telomerase domains and the signalling pathways regulated by telomerase that contribute to the protection of cells from DNA damage (see Autexier, C. and Lue, N.F. 2006. Annual Review of Biochemistry, 75, 493-517; Cerone, M.A. et al., 2006 Oncogene 25, 7411-7420; Marie-Egyptienne, D.T. et al. 2008. Exp. Cell Res. 314, 668-675). More information about our current research interests can be found at http://www.bloomfieldcentre.org/e/index.htm. Desirable skills include retroviral gene transfer, stable cell line creation, flow cytometry and cell sorting analysis, Western analysis, immunofluorescence and mouse tumor models.

The ideal candidate should have completed a Ph.D. in molecular and cellular biology within the last two years, and possess prior research experience in the following areas: apoptosis/DNA damage signaling pathways and the molecular basis of cancer. Interested candidates should send curriculum vitae, statement of research interests, and the names/contact information of two references to: Dr. Chantal Autexier at chantal.autexier@mcgill.ca (Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research, Jewish General Hospital, McGill University, Montréal, Québec, Canada)
