The Post-doctoral Research Associates
Post – Ref: RA474 - 5 years fixed-term
£28,290 to £33,780 per annum (w.e.f. 01/05/2008)
The BBSRC funded Postdoctoral Research Associate is based at the University of East Anglia in the group of J. Andrew Bangham, working together with Prof. Enrico Coen from the nearby John Innes Centre. The Associates will be involved in developing computational tools for analysing and modelling the growth of plants. Why? Plants are important. Think, for example, about feeding the world and maintaining the ecological environment. The post is available from 1 May 2008.
You need not have a background in biology, but must have:
• a PhD (or equivalent) and experience of programming at least one of • Computer vision • Image processing • Graphics • skills in programming in Matlab, C++ or equivalent.
