Salary: Research Grade 7 – in the range £26,666 – £29,139 (pay award pending)
An enthusiastic and self-motivated biochemist is required to work on a project investigating the identification of endogenous bioactive substances relating to neurodegeneration. The scientist will join a research group led by Professor Susan Greenfield and will need to have demonstrable practical experience in the areas of protein isolation, purification and characterisation. The project is funded by the James Martin 21st Century School. Together with a PhD In a relevant discipline, it would be desirable that the successful candidate has previous experience in protein biochemistry.
