 Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Dr. David Eagleman at Baylor College of Medicine (http://neuro.bcm.edu/eagleman). Projects in the Eagleman Lab combine methods of experimental psychology, cognitive/computational neuroscience, and psychophysics with functional neuroimaging to investigate human perception. The goals of the lab include an understanding of the perception of time, as well as conditions of perception such as synesthesia. Positions provide an opportunity to take part in highly innovative research programs within an interdisciplinary laboratory. The neuroimaging facilities include 5 research-dedicated, head-only 3T Siemens Allegra scanners. There is opportunity for collaboration with a wide community of experts in various fields within the department, Baylor College of Medicine, and neighboring institutions within the Texas Medical Center.

Minimum requirements for the position include 1) a PhD and background in neuroscience or a related field, along with an interest in perception, 2) facility with computational methods, and 3) optionally, prior experience with fMRI. A start date of summer/fall 2008 is preferable.
