POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSISTANT
GRADE 7 (£27,466 – £33,780)
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position funded by the Wellcome Trust. The successful applicant will join a team of researchers studying T Lymphocyte Biology in the laboratory of Doreen Cantrell. A number of potential projects are available, including analysis of the signal transduction pathwaqys that control lymphocyte trafficking, thymocyte development or cytotoxic T lymphocyte differentiation and function (for examples of recent work see Nat Immunol: 9513-21; EMBO J: 26: 3441-50; J Exp Med ;203(7):1665-70).
The successful applicant will be part of a well resourced laboratory in the College of Life Sciences which has excellent core facilities including light and electron microscopy, flow cytometry and mass spectrometry. Applicants should have, or be about to obtain, a PhD, and experience in molecular biology, cell biology immunology or biochemistry would be an advantage.
