A postdoctoral position is available in embryology and stem cell differentiation to study the early stages in embryonic heart development. We use both mouse embryonic stem cells and Xenopus embryos as model systems to study heart field specification. We use cell and molecular biological approaches, to study pathways that guide heart development. In addition, we study the differentiation of endodermal organs such as liver and pancreas. Our lab is a part of the Molecular Cardiology Division at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University located in New York City. To apply, send a letter of interest, CV and the names and contact information of three references to Ann Foley Ph.D. (acf2002@med.cornell.edu)
