A full-time postdoc position is open immediately in the Quantum Matter and Devices Laboratory, led by Prof. Yong P. Chen, in Birck Nanotechnology Center and Physics Department at Purdue University. This position is funded under Semiconductor Research Corporation’s Nanoelectronics Research Initiative, via the newly established Midwest Institute of Nanoelectronics and Discovery (MIND). Research topics include the physics of phonon and thermal transport in graphene nanostructures, and development of graphene “thermotronics” devices for active thermal management in integrated circuits. The postdoc fellow will work in a highly interdisciplinary environment and may also be involved in several other research projects on graphene quantum physics and functional nanodevices, and may have opportunities to initiate his/her own projects according to interests. Competitive salary and benefits will be provided.
Essential qualifications: expertise with nanofabrication using e-beam lithography and with nanodevices measurements.
Other valuable qualifications: experiences with carbon nanotubes or graphene, low temperature physics, and thermal transport measurements.
Interested candidates should email CV (including a list of publications and skills, and names of 3 references) to Prof. Yong P. Chen (yongchen@purdue.edu).
