Post-doctoral position
Institute for Medical Immunology (IMI)
Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB)
Gosselies, Belgium
A funded post-doctoral position (3 years) is available at the Institute for Medical Immunology (IMI).
The post-doctoral fellow will identify and validate new biomarkers of activated human gammadelta T cells by using in vitro cellular culture models. In collaboration with the research centre BioVallée, this knowledge will be used in order to monitor gammadelta T cells in vivo (for example in cancer patients).
A solid background in immunology or cell biology is required, and experience with associated techniques such as flow cytometry, in vitro cell culture and basic molecular techniques are preferred.
The Institute for Medical Immunology has been created with the support of the Walloon Region and GSK Biologicals to build a knowledge platform dedicated to medical immunology. This platform aims at delivering new concepts of immunointervention for human diseases by integrating basic and clinical research.
