Full time post-doctoral research associate position is available immediately to study retinal degeneration/protection in the Department of Human Nutrition at Kansas State University. This is a one-year, term position, may be renewable for up to three years. Employee will be responsible for mammalian cell culture, generation and maintenance of the transgenic and knockout mice, phytochemical identification, protein biochemistry, and immunohistological analysis.
PhD in Nutrition, Biochemistry, or related fields with wet bench experience is required. Preference will be given to the candidate who has experience in cell gap junctional signaling, transgenic mouse characterization, and/or HPLC. Salary is commensurate with experience.
