Postdoctoral Research Assistant
Salary Grade 7: £27,466 to £33,780 per annum.
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join a team working on neural circuitry in fruit flies (Cell 2005, 121: 141-152; Cell 2007, 128: 601-612; Cell 2008, 133: 354-363). The project is under the direction of Professor Gero Miesenböck and based in the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics (http://www.dpag.ox.ac.uk). The post is funded by a grant from HFSP for two years in the first instance.
Applicants should have a degree in a relevant area of neuroscience. Experience in electrophysiology is essential; expertise with Drosophila, optical imaging, and/or behavioural approaches would be highly desirable.
