Postdoctoral positions: Molecular mechanism of neural plasticity and vocal learning in songbirds Postdoctoral positions are immediately available to study the molecular mechanisms underlying neural circuit development and vocal learning using songbirds as a model system.
Current projects include studying developmental and experience-dependent transcriptome and miRNA regulation using the latest ultra-high-throughput genomics tools.
The work will be conducted at the Neuroscience Center at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, New Orleans, Louisiana. Highly motivated individuals who recently obtained a PhD, with strong background in molecular biology and vertebrate developmental biology are encouraged to apply.
Experience and interest in miRNA and/or genomics is desirable, and at least one first author publication in a recognized international journal is required. Applicants should send a CV, any published papers, the names of 3 references and a brief statement of research interests to Dr. XiaoChing Li, Neuroscience Center of Excellence, LSU Health Sciences Center, New Orleans, Louisiana by email: xli4@lsuhsc.edu.
