德国佛雷堡大学招聘博士后

A postdoctoral research position founded by the German Research Society (DFG) is available in the laboratory of Dr. Klaus-Peter Knobeloch at the University Clinic of Freiburg for initially 3 years. Salary will be E13 TV-L. Start is at earliest convenience.

Our group is interested in the function of Ubiquitin (Ub) and Ubiquitin like molecules (UBL) in innate and adaptive immunity. Molecular and transgenic approaches are used to uncover the role of distinct components of the Ub/UBL systems directly in the context of the whole organism.

In one project we generated T-cell specific conditional k.o mice for the Ubiquitin deconjugating enzyme USP8 (unpublished). The successful applicant will be responsible to finish the phenotypic characterization, shed light on the molecular function of USP8 in T-cells and identify interaction partners and target substrates.

The ideal candidate should hold a PhD, have a strong background in immunology and/or molecular biology and be familiar with the analysis of mouse models. Beside creativity and strong motivation we expect good communication skills and the ability for teamwork. The lab is embedded in an environment with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities (FACS Sorting, proteomics, life imaging etc.) and we offer excellent working conditions in a motivated group where successful work does not exclude fun.

Applications should include a curriculum vitae with names of three references and a list of publications.
