美国德州大学医学院招聘博士后

Postdoctoral positions in computational biology are open in the Sealy Center for Molecular Medicine and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology within the University of Texas Medical Branch. Successful candidates will work in a new research group headed by A. Kudlicki. We are interested in integration of whole-genome transcription, sequence and proteomic data, especially in context of inferring causal interactions from microarray datasets, including but not limited to time-course experiments.

These positions are open to recent Ph.D.s (0-3 years since the award of doctorate) with background in bioinformatics, physics, biostatistics or a related discipline. We are seeking highly motivated researchers with demonstrated proficiency in scientific computing; previous experience in whole-genome expression and/or sequence data analysis will be an advantage. The appointments will be available for two (2) years, with possibility of a further extension. UTMB will provide benefits including health insurance. The annual stipend will be based on current NIH guidelines. Researchers in the group will have access to extensive computer resources, both in-house and in the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC). The appointments are to begin on or after December 15, 2008.

Interested candidates should forward a cover letter, CV and bibliography via email to:
