POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS
Two highly motivated individuals are wanted for two postdoctoral positions at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Strong molecular biology training is required, neuroscience background and biochemical protein purification technique is a plus. These two positions are available immediately and the salary is dependent on the experience.
The primary focus of my lab is molecular mechanisms of neuronal cell survival. Specifically, we concentrate on the neurotrophins signaling cascades in the neuronal survival and drug discovery. In addition, we are interested in dissecting Asparagine Endopepetidase’s molecular regulation and functions in stroke. Future research projects include:
a) Characterization of PIKE conditional knockout mice
b) Drug development for the Small molecules of Neurotrophin mimetics
c) Molecular regulation of Asparagine endopeptidase and its inhibitor development
