The position will involve carrying out mainly kinetic experiments related to transition metal complexes that are active oxidation catalysts. The project will be specially focused to those complexes capable of oxidizing water to molecular dioxygen. The research will be developed within the framework of the “Intecat” Consolider and the Solar-H2 European projects.
The candidates should have a strong background in kinetics and should be familiar with stopped flow techniques. Spectroscopic knowledge (UV-Vis, NMR, IR, EPR etc.) will also be appreciated. The candidates will be expected to oversee the training and development of junior group members and it is also expected that they can independently write scientific reports and manuscripts.
