Description:
The Micro/NanoPhotonics Laboratory at the University of Toronto seeks outstanding postdoctoral fellows for open nominations for the Prize Postdoctoral Fellowship sponsored by the University of Toronto Center for Quantum Information and Quantum Control. The fellowship is highly competitive. The annual stipend is $45,000-55,000 CAD (commensurate with experience). There are no restrictions on the citizenship or residency of the candidate.
We are looking for excellent candidates with a strong publication record and experience in nanofabrication, characterization of micro/nanophotonic devices and structures (such as waveguides, microcavities, lasers, quantum dots, photonic crystals, plasmonic devices etc.), and the numerical simulation and design of these devices and structures.
Candidates may propose their own research topics; however, our laboratory also currently has projects in cQED effects in microcavity lasers and metamaterial quantum electronics.
Duration: minimum 1 year, preferably 2 years.
