A newly established Program in Molecular Oncology in the DeWitt Family Department of Surgery, Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami, currently seeks candidates for the position of Postdoctoral Associate to work on Notch Signaling and Molecular Mechanisms of Tumorigenesis. The position is open immediately. The Capobianco Lab utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to understand the basic mechanisms of tumorigenesis that includes; biochemistry, cell biology, proteomics, mouse genetics and human tumor based approaches to dissect the role of Notch signaling in stem cells and tumor development. Applicants must be independent, self-motivated and goal-oriented. These positions require a strong background in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology or mouse genetics.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have Ph.D. and/or M.D. training in one or more of the following fields desirable; cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, mouse genetics and stem cell biology. Experience in mouse genetics or cell and molecular biology desirable. An appropriate combination of education, certifications, and/or relevant work experience will be considered.
