A Postdoctoral Fellow/Scientist position is available immediately to study structure and function of integral membrane proteins. A structural genomics approach has been employed to identify membrane proteins, including but not limited to transporters and ion channels, suitable for crystallization. Combined approaches of structural and functional studies are then applied to obtain an atomic level understanding of how a membrane protein operates. The position offers an opportunity to gain experience in membrane protein crystallization and X-ray crystallography, as well as trainings in various biophysical and biochemical techniques. Salary ($41000 and up) is commensurate with experience and qualification.
A Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics or a related discipline is required. Practical experience with structural biology, electrophysiology or protein biochemistry is desired but not essential. Please send CV and information for three references to:
