The Department of Cell and Molecular Biology, University of Gothenburg, Sweden is seeking full time postdoctoral fellows to investigate the contribution of Drosophila nuclear transport machinery to regulate biological processes using a combination of cell culture, genetics, molecular biology and cell biology-based approaches (see J. Cell Biol. 178, 557-565, J. Cell Biol. 163, 701-706). Specifically, the project aims to understand how the NPC (Nuclear Pore Complex) components function in nuclear membrane formation.
Successful candidates are self-motivated individuals with a recent Ph.D. in molecular biology, cell biology or related area. Qualifications include a first author paper in an English peer reviewed journal and good communication skills.
Please send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, names and e-mail addresses of three references to Nafiseh Sabri, assistant professor, Department of Cell and Molecular Biology, University of Gothenburg, 405 30 Gothenburg, E-mail: nafiseh.sabri@cmb.gu.se. Please note that applicants are expected to apply for their own fellowships. Full assistance for writing applications is provided.
