A Post Doctoral Fellow position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Michael Schaller, Ph.D., within the Department of Biochemistry at West Virginia University. The selected candidate will use a wide variety of molecular and cell biology techniques and will be involved in all aspects of the laboratory’s research program involving cell transfection and FRET and ratio imaging immunofluorescence experiments, cytoskeleton/cell motility, and focal adhesion kinase studies. Prior demonstrated experience with these types of research techniques is a requirement for consideration of the position. In addition, he/she will have the opportunity to interact with a dynamic group of scientists and other post doctoral fellows with vast experience in molecular and cellular biology. The applicant must currently have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field in the basic sciences in order to apply. Candidates with up to one year of related lab work experience are preferred. In addition, the selected candidate will be expected to maintain a productive research program including the publication of their work.
