A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the Department of Neurology to study immunoregulatory and neuroprotective effects of the gp130 cytokine interleukin-11 in the mammalian CNS (Zhang et al., J.Neurosci. 26, pp.12174-85).
Core techniques in the laboratory include culture and coculture of primary human CNS lineages (mature and progenitor), and in vivo verification of the data from these cultures using Cre-lox models.
Requirements: Interested candidates should have a PhD degree, a strong background in molecular and cellular biology and capability to work independently. Good quality written scientific English and at least one first-author publication are required.
