A Postdoctoral position is available in the area of stem cell based Tissue Engineering in the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Laboratory at Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine. The laboratory is primarily focused on translational models of tissue regeneration using embryonic and adult stem cells and novel biomaterials.
Qualified applicants should have a background in Biomedical Engineering or a similar field, with a strong focus on biomaterials, tissue engineering and cell culture. Preferred experience with material fabrication, modification and characterization, controlled drug release, and animal experiments. Must be able to interact with scientists of diverse backgrounds including cell/molecular biology, genetics and engineering. Communication skills critical.
