The Viroquant Research Group Modeling at the University of Heidelberg has an opening for a Postdoc in Computational Systems Biology. Areas of interest include mathematical modeling of host-pathogen interactions and relevant signaling pathways, machine learning applied to high-throughput data, network reconstruction from experimental data, or system’s theoretic approaches applied to systems biology.
We are an international, young team, and offer an interdisciplinary and stimulating working environment in an exciting research area and an enthusiastic team. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to establish and implement his or her own research program within the broader area of interest of the group. We are looking for a candidate with solid background in Systems Biology, Mathematical Modeling, Systems Theory, Physics, Bioinformatics or related disciplines. Willingness to collaborate with experimental partners in house is mandatory.
