Louisiana State University Health Science Center Neuroscience Center of Excellence New Orleans, Louisiana One postdoctoral position funded by NIH RO1 grant is available immediately to study the molecular and signaling mechanism of synaptic plasticity in hippocampal and cortical neurons. We use electrophysiological recordings, two-photon and confocal imaging, biochemistry and molecular biology to address critical questions in synaptic plasticity field. The position is for electrophysiologist. Applicant should have prior patch clamp experience. The starting salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Requirement: Ph.D. or M.D. degree in neuroscience, pharmacology or a related field. Experience in imaging is beneficial.
