Postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Jim Trimmer at UC Davis to study dynamic regulation of electrical excitability in mammalian brain neurons. This position involves using quantitative mass spectrometry to study post-translational modifications and protein-proteins interactions of components of mammalian neuronal signaling complexes in physiological and pathophysiological states. We welcome applications from highly motivated and scientifically creative candidates with recent PhDs, and experience and expertise in applying state-of-the-art label-based (ICAT, SILAC, etc.) and label-free quantitative mass spectrometry methods in proteomics. These NIH-funded positions are available immediately and applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. Send CV including references to jtlab@ucdavis.edu.
