We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to take on a research project involving calcium fluorimetry and molecular biology (RT-PCR and Westerns) in human pulmonary fibroblasts. In particular, the goal is to examine the effects of autacoids and cigarette smoke upon gene expression within the fibroblasts. Funding is available for 1-2 years, during which the successful candidate will be encouraged to apply for their own fellowship support which will extend this out to 4-5 years.
