A one-year postdoctoral (with potential for renewal) position is available for a person with experience in cell culture and protein purification or related skills. In a collaborative project between MIT and Novartis, our lab developed a computational method for identifying aggregation-prone regions of therapeutic antibodies. We are interested in applying this method to characterize other proteins of therapeutic interest. The responsibilities include design of protein variants, large-scale DNA purification, transient transfection of mammalian cells, protein purification and characterization. The project will be carried out in collaboration with another post-doc in the lab as well as with scientists at Novartis.
