A post-doctoral position to study gene regulation in mammalian cells is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Jinsong Zhang, Department of Cancer and Cell Biology at the University of Cincinnati. The laboratory is generally interested in elucidating the transcriptional mechanisms associated with nuclear hormone receptors, E-protein family transcription factors and leukemia fusion proteins. The research uses complementary in vitro and in vivo approaches, including mouse genetics, proteomic, cellular and cell-free in vitro transcription assays. The initial and ongoing work is published in Science 305:1286-9, Mol Cell, 9:611-23, Mol Cell Biol. 29:2644-57 and PNAS 103:10242-7.
Successful applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in a bioscience field and a solid background in biochemical and cellular techniques. Previous experience in mouse model, leukemia fusion protein, transcription factor characterization or nuclear receptor signaling is highly preferred. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
All interest candidates must apply to position number 29CM3666 via the UC Jobs website:http://www.jobsatuc.com.Application materials should include a CV and contact information (including telephone numbers and e-mail addresses) of three references.
