Postdoctoral positions for cardiovascular physiologist are available immediately to study cellular and molecular regulation of global and local calcium signaling in pulmonary arterial smooth muscle cells using conventional and confocal calcium imaging, patch-clamp, and molecular biology techniques. Projects are focused on the regulation of calcium influx and release pathways, including calcium release channels and TRP channels, in pulmonary arteries of normal and pulmonary hypertension animal models.

 

Candidates must hold a PhD degree or equivalent, possess strong independent research abilities and scientific interests, and have self motivation and the ability to work effectively with a team. Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience in molecular biology, electrophysiology, calcium imaging, and vascular biology.
