One postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Julius L. Chambers Biomedical/Biotechnology Research Institute at North Carolina Central University in the Human Nutrition Research Program. The lab is located at the newly created North Carolina Research Campus in Kannapolis and is part of the University of North Carolina Nutrition Center. The North Carolina Research Campus has state-of-the-art core facilities in the areas of genomics, metabolomics, proteomics, and histochemistry. This position is located in the laboratory of Dr. Shengmin Sang.

 

This position is to study the cancer preventive effect of dietary components and understand the underline molecular mechanism using in vitro assays and in vivo models. Required qualifications are: PhD in life science and strong background in basic molecular biology and experience with mouse models are necessary. Familiarity with flow cytometry, biochemistry, and signal transduction are required. Previous experience in the use of lung or colon cancer rodent models is a plus.
