The Spivack laboratory seeks a strong post-doctoral fellow for original work on projects related to (a) chemoprevention strategies in lung carcinogenesis; and/or (b) inter-individual differences in gene regulation. These regulatory differences are posited to confer susceptibility to several lung diseases, including cancer. We have our own human subject accrual infrastructure and lung tissue bank, as well as wet-lab facilities. Technologies employed include some unique lab-developed assays, such as RNA-specific mRNA-qPCR, DNA methylation sequencing, RNA-specific microRNA-qPCR, microRNA pull-down, and others. See Einstein website for details. Duration is one year, and renewable. Send resume and cover letter summarizing interests and career goals to salfieri@aecom.yu.edu.
