A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately in the group of Prof. Mikhail Belkin in the ECE Department at The University of Texas at Austin. The group homepage is http://www.ece.utexas.edu/~mbelkin.

 

The project involves the development and characterization of tunable metamaterials in mid-IR and THz and the development of novel techniques for broadband sub-wavelength imaging in mid-IR and THz. We are ideally looking for a person with expertise in near-field optical microscopy or AFM, microfabrication, nanophotonics, and plasmonics. An ideal candidate should also have experience with FDTD simulations of photonic systems. Candidates with experience in other areas of optoelectronics and photonics are also welcome to apply.
