Postdoctoral research scientist position in the Division of Molecular Genetics in the Department of Pediatrics immediately available to conduct studies in human genetics. Postdoc should have experience performing human genetic studies such as linkage and association studies and sequence analysis. Applicants should have experience in molecular genetic techniques such as polymerase chain reaction, genotyping, sequencing, purification of DNA, purification RNA, real time PCR, Northern blots, Western blots, and radioimmunoassays. Applicants should have good communication skills, be organized, meticulous, maintain good records, and able to work independently. Applicant should have experience using online genomic databases, linkage software, copy number variation analysis, and analysis of Next Generation sequencing.
