Post-Doctoral Position Available New York City
Protein Purification and RNA Biochemistry
NIH-funded project involves fractionating pre-mRNA 3’ processing factor protein complexes, and in vitro biochemical experiments with RNA. Project goal is to understand Alternative Polyadenylation and its effect on determining microRNA target availability during cancer development and progression.
REQUIREMENTS:
?Recent Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular/Cellular Biology, or related field
?Documented expertise in FPLC protein purification (e.g. ÄKTA)
?Strong work ethic and enthusiasm for basic research
PREFERRED:
?Experience preparing and handling extracts from tissue culture cells
?Experience working with RNA in vitro
Available starting Spring/Summer 2010
